We need a Development New Business Manager to join us and lead on bdht’s sustainable growth and development objective. We need someone to network and negotiate to ensure our development pipeline is filled for the next few years. You will work alongside our Development Delivery Manager to take the process from sourcing viable development opportunities through to the sales of new and existing homes.  

 

The Role 

Reporting to the Head of Asset Management & Development, you will assist in maintaining a pipeline of development schemes, by exploring opportunities for growth within bdht’s operating area. You will appraise new schemes, both commercially and regarding planning requirements, to ensure they are affordable and deliverable. 

 

You will be responsible for managing a highly motivated and experienced team delivering the sale of shared ownership homes.  

 

About You 

With experience in a similar role, we are looking for a confident and customer focussed individual with experience and knowledge of the housing development process. You will have experience in the sales and marketing of property, including legal processes, and you will have a good understanding of contractual and property law. Knowledge of the Regulator of Social Housing & Homes England funding requirements and design standards is also desirable.  

 

The use of a current driving licence and access to an appropriately insured vehicle is a requirement for the post and essential car user allowance will be paid where applicable.
