Job Details
Are you currently working within a leasehold team, looking to become an aspiring leader? Can you support, coach and mentor colleagues? Are you passionate about delivering outstanding services for customers? If this sounds like you, then this could be your perfect role.
Johnnie Johnson has an exciting and ambitious programme of developing new homes across our areas of operation, including our existing portfolio of shared owners, right to buy leaseholders and freeholders.
As our Leasehold Lead, you will support and motivate a team of Community Housing Officers in delivering an outstanding customer experience, continually looking at ways we can improve the service we provide to our customers.
You will support the team and wider teams in specialist knowledge around:
- Leasehold Management & Shared Ownership;
- Provide our Development team with specialist advice on the planning of new homes;
- Working alongside our Rents and Service Charge Manager, you’ll ensure accurate service charge budgets are prepared for our customers;
- Share legislative knowledge and regulatory requirements.
So now you’ve heard a bit about the role, let us tell you a bit about the team! It’s important to know who you might be working with, right?
Our Team
Our team is really lovely (if we don’t mind saying so ourselves!). We’re led by our Regional Neighbourhood Manager, and you will work with likeminded people using the most recent up to date technology. As well as providing support to the organisation, we support each other too. We work hard but we also like to have fun!
About You
This role would suit a highly organised person who can prioritise their workload and multi-task effectively. Understand leases, tenancy agreements and sales and resales, and experience of conducting Section 20 Consultations, with in depth knowledge in Landlord and Tenant Acts is essential.
You will have a suitable qualification such as IRPM or CIH level 3 Qualification or be willing to work towards such a qualification.
You’ll have experience in working within a leasehold team or in a similar role and be able to demonstrate knowledge in housing management across all tenures. A great communicator, you’ll enjoy working at pace with colleagues across the business and like making decisions. You’ll be able to support and coach your team and enjoy getting involved in and manage projects.
And the benefits of working for us?
We’ve adopted a completely agile way of working meaning you can work from home too. As long as our residents and customers are put first, we’ll also give you a degree of flexibility using our ‘My Lifestyle’ guidelines, meaning you can attend the important things in life. So, whether you’ve got a gym class you’d love to attend, your child’s school play or maybe it’s just that you’ve got a new fridge being delivered, we will work with you to be flexible!
We also offer a fantastic holiday allowance of 33 days per annum (including statutory holidays) which rises to 38 days after 5 years’ service (pro-rata for fixed term contracts). We can offer you a 35-hour working week, an enhanced 5% employer contribution pension scheme and a recognition scheme with both financial and non-financial rewards such as gift vouchers, early finishes or even a later start! There’s loads more fantastic benefits too – you can find out more about these on our careers site!
