The successful applicant will be working in our Building Services team providing a customer centered repairs and maintenance service, life will busy and interesting and you will be an integral part of an already strong team. You will work closely with the Repairs Manager, the Voids and Estates Manager and you will provide technical support for the Building Services Supervisors, Trade Operatives and the Logistics team.
You will manage contractors engaged to assist with the provision of repairs, maintenance and voids works to ensure their compliance with CBH policies and all appropriate legislative requirements. You will lead on issues relating to condensation, mould and damp, manage drainage repair works and respond to major incidents, for example, fire, flood, asbestos, property decants and manage all subsequent repair and maintenance works whilst liaising with other teams and agencies as necessary. You will be required to organise trade teams training events, liaising with Health and Safety Manager, Supervisors and Managers, as necessary.
About you!
To fulfil this role, you will have practical experience in building construction and repairs and experience of managing operatives and/or contractors. You will be able to make informed decisions using your practical knowledge of building repairs and appropriate legislation and work within existing policies and procedures.
You will have experience of delivering high quality customer focused services to a variety of customers, including those defined as vulnerable and those with complex needs. Due to the demanding nature of the role you must be able to manage a high workload with competing priorities, have effective organisational time management skills to ensure targets are met.
This is a responsive role and you will have the ability to respond confidently and effectively to unforeseen circumstances such as fire or flood. You will have strong interpersonal, and motivational skills, be an excellent relationship builder with commitment to customer involvement, have an ability to work effectively with customers, Colleagues, peers, partners and contractors.
