Temp, Full Time 12 months (Maternity Leave)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Key Worker to provide a support, care and housing management service with the aim of preventing issues as homelessness, social exclusion.

The nature of this post is to provide a compassionate service which is responsive to customers choice and needs, you will enable customers to live as independently as possible and you will maximise the control they have over their lives through taking charge of decisions that affect them.

Meeting defined key performance indicators / targets and outcomes for customers you will respond to complaints, incidents of Anti-Social Behaviour and follow agreed recording practices and policies.

To be successful in this role you will have the ability to communicate well with a wide range of people, verbally and in writing. You will demonstrate a positive, sensitive, and constructive approach to working with customers, colleagues and professionals. You will have a commitment to diversity and thrive with customer excellence and equal opportunities service delivery.

Job Description

  • Salary Scale: 3CDE1 £20,601 per annum, pro rata - plus Essential car user allowance £94.36 per month and mileage expenses
  • Working Hours: Monday – Friday - 37 hrs
  • Generous holiday entitlement – 27 days annual leave, statutory bank holidays, plus an additional 4 SYHA days

More about the role:

Rotherham Thursday Project customers currently residing in the borough of Rotherham that are at risk of becoming homeless due to rent arrears, ASB or other complexities, which may include mental health conditions, substance misuse or offending behaviour.

Our aim is to help our customers maintain a stable, independent home and intensive personalised support.

We believe that everyone has a right a safe and secure place to call home, and the stability that it brings.

Our approach to working with customers is based on their strengths, to build their confidence to a level where they feel they can live independently and achieve their potential.

Our aim is to equip each customer with personal, social, vocational and practical life skills; enabling them to take control of their life and live independently within the community.

Who you are:

  • Have digital skills (i.e. Microsoft excel, able to transact online)
    • Great organisational and observational skills
    • Must be passionate about customer service
      • Good problem solver
