Delivering the right information to the right people at the right time!

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Data and Information Manager to help our organisation utilise its data and information to solve real world challenges that improve our customers lives.

Leading the data and information team, you will work closely with our internal and external customers to deliver innovative data driven solutions. You will also work as part of the IT management team leading on the data elements of the digital strategy and identifying new technologies and processes that enable its delivery. Communication and organization skills are keys for this position, along with a problem-solving attitude.

 

As the Data and Information Manager, a typical week might include:

  • Meeting internal customers to understand their how you can help them to better user data and information to deliver a more effective service or solve a particular problem.
  • Delivering a workshop on how using the tools and systems your team have developed help to improve data quality that is critical to the way we deliver our services.
  • Working with external providers to deliver courses to raise the organisations data literacy levels.
  • Working with your own team to manage workload and provide direction to ensure the focus is on the priority work.

 

The must haves

  • Degree educated or equivalent managerial / professional qualification
  • PRINCE2/Agile or equivalent accreditation
  • Data analytics / business intelligence qualifications
  • ITIL Foundation or better
  • Experience of leading a team of data and information professionals and organising and prioritising conflicting workloads.
  • Significant experience of understanding and solving complex real-world problems relating to the use of data and information.
  • The ability to be able to communicate complex issues at all levels within an organisation.
  • Understanding of the capability of BI products such as PowerBI or Qlik.
  • Experience of utilising project management and change management skills to deliver projects on-time.
  • Experience of relevant data protection legislation and information security standards

Location

At Accent we’re a keen promoter of agile working and encourage the use of working from home as our new way forward. We’ll provide you with the equipment and software that you’ll need for the purpose of your role however it will be your responsibility to have an appropriate space to work from as well as a suitable broadband connection/provider.

Should you wish to work occasionally from any of our regional offices, you may do so on a hot desk basis which will need to be arranged via our online booking system.

 

Salary

The spot salary for this post is £49,338 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all of the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary.
