Six Month Fixed Term Contract

Joining us as Compliance and Audit Manager, you will work in partnership with teams across Stonewater to ensure the business complies with all landlord statutory duties relating to compliance activities across it’s asset portfolio.

Managing two Compliance Surveyors who are responsible for the management of compliance audit contracts, you will oversee a broad range of duties within the Health & Safety and Compliance field, pro-actively offering expert guidance when required. You will take the lead in Fire related assurance activities and work closely with the Health & Safety Manager in the development and implementation of a governance structure for compliance policies and standard operating procedures. The Compliance and Audit Manager will also act as lead on our Primary Authority Agreement with Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service and work closely with Asset Intelligence to ensure a consistent approach to data collation and monitoring.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be confident, independent, and pro-active.
  • Be educated to Degree level or have the equivalent level of training/experience.
  • Be a member of the Institute of Fire Engineers or an equivalent relevant body.
  • Have broad knowledge of Health & Safety and Compliance.
  • Have excellent project management skills and experience of managing budgets.
  • Have experience in fire strategy preparation and project planning.
  • Have experience of managing contracts and of compliance related activities, in particular, fire related activities and embedding best practice.
  • Have experience of planning and delivering training programmes.
  • Be an effective decision maker with a commitment to creating a safe and health environment for our teams, customers and contractors.
  • Be able to work well in partnership with multi-disciplinary teams and drive towards a common goal.

Due to the nature of the role, candidates must be flexible and able to travel as required.

Appointment to this role will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check, satisfactory references and possession of a valid Right to Work document.
