DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Environmental Officer

Hybrid location, working from home and our Newcastle or North West offices

Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hpw)

Salary circa: £28,000 pa, plus Brilliant Benefits

We’re looking for an Environmental Officer to join us on our environmental sustainability journey. You’ll support our wide-ranging environmental sustainability plans, improve sustainable operation, deliver environmental reports and manage our ISO14001:2015 environmental management system.

You’ll support across Asset Management, Development and Operations through audits, carbon accounting, ecosystems services, analysis and benchmarking to continually improve commercial and domestic asset performance.

Environmental sustainability is a huge area of focus, from achieving Net Zero to helping design and deliver environmental projects and programmes so you will need to be a collaborative worker, keen to embrace the sustainability challenge.

About you
You’ll be a skilled negotiator and excellent at influencing colleagues and external stakeholders. Forming relationships is critical to being successful in this role, so you’ll be a brilliant collaborator, working with internal colleagues at all levels. You’ll be competent in data analysis and can develop creative solutions for our portfolio to support investment decisions.

It would be great if you have experience in environmental sustainability field and hold a relevant degree. It would also be great if you’re a member of IEMA or a similar environmental organisation.

Here at Home Group we have invested heavily in our future and use current and up to date equipment and have a digital first agenda. You’ll be issued with the latest kit, which could include a Surface Pro and mobile. So, it's important to us that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)

You’ll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about Environmental Sustainability driving forward the long-term approach to sustainable investment. To us were not just a team we’re a ‘work family’.

Our manager is Paul has worked in environmental sustainability for 15 years. He leads on all thing’s sustainability within Home Group where retrofit will play a big role.
