We are currently looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to provide financial and non-financial information for areas of responsibility, ensuring timely and accurate information is delivered. As a key member of the team, you will report to the Finance Manager and proactively have the ambition to learn. You’ll have the ability to champion and promote new ideas that contribute to the aims and meet business needs. 

 What you will be doing:  

To assist in the production of accurate and timely year end and half year financial statements for bpha group, in compliance with all process requirements.  Assist in the production of monthly management accounts and other regulatory returns for bpha group as required.  Ensure accurate reporting for areas of responsibility at a team level, while meeting or exceeding agreed timescales.  Deliver balance sheet reconciliations for areas of responsibility. To initiate remedial actions as required thereby ensuring the integrity and control of the data contained within these accounts.   To implement and maintain financial controls that ensure there are no material errors in routine financial reporting for designated areas of responsibility. 

We’d love to meet someone with:   

ACA/ACCA/CIMA studier or QBE.  Evidence of continuous professional development.   Experience in financial and management accounting & producing reports.  Ability to communicate effectively and influence other managers and stakeholders.  A strong customer focus – demonstrating a thorough understanding of customer needs.
