Salary:  circa £60,000

First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO) is an ambitious Housing association that has a core purpose to create Homes they are proud of and to deliver their vision of Improving Lives.  A key element to achieving that purpose is in their use of ICT to engage with their tenants and make their service more responsive to their tenants’ needs.  FCHO have pivoted their service and created two new roles in order to bring real focus, accountability and remove any obstacles and complexity in order to ensure these aims are met.

Do you thrive in an environment of service improvement?  That’s not simply systems improvement (although that is a key part of this role), but ensuring the full ICT service and infrastructure delivers or exceeds the needs of the tenants now and into the future.

But it’s not only that.

You would also be playing a part in the wider cultural journey of the organisation- re-setting mindsets, galvanizing staff teams towards a common goal and ensuring everyone understands the link between the work they do and how that impacts on their tenants.  You need to have a strong people focus and that is both your staff and your customers and this needs to drive you on a daily basis.

What would be on your to-do list?

• Develop, own and execute an ICT strategy  that will ensure the systems and processes are resilient to support the delivery of the Corporate Plan.
• Lead on identifying innovative and appropriate ICT solutions across FCHO, whilst ensuring  that the investment in existing systems and technology is exploited to its full potential.
• Work closely with colleagues in the Transformation team to ensure that systems projects are effectively supported and aligned with Business as Usual (BAU) requirements.
• Develop and lead an ICT team that engages with colleagues across FCHO through a business partnering approach to ensure the ICT services (software and hardware) supports the needs of the business and the of individual end users
