Domestic Abuse Senior Specialist

Are you an organised and motivated self-starter who wants to make a difference for survivors of domestic abuse? 

As a partner in the award-winning Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA) project, are looking to appoint a passionate individual to join our team to lead on our DAHA accreditation.

As the Senior Specialist Advisor for domestic abuse, you will lead on the project, manage the process, working with the housing team and engaging the wider organisation and partnerships to ensure the accreditation is achieved.  You will also provide high standards of advice and support to colleagues to robustly manage current cases involving domestic abuse of varying complexity.

You will have strong communication, organisation, project management and influencing skills with an ability to form excellent working partnerships. You will need to have experience in leading and motivating teams effectively and implementing change to improve services. You will also have knowledge and experience of housing policy and practice in relation to domestic abuse and for removing the barriers to accessing safe and stable housing.

In addition, you will provide performance and quality control for the overall delivery of this specialism, working with teams across the Council, providing technical support and mentoring, encouraging the transfer of knowledge, improving performance and the customer journey.
