We have an exciting opportunity for a Delivery Development Manager to join our team! As a Development Manager you will lead on the day-to-day delivery of new affordable home schemes delivering Eastlight’s new homes strategy.

The Development Manager

  • Assisting the Head of Development (Delivery & Aftercare) in leading, managing, supporting, and developing the Delivery & Aftercare team
  • Building strong, mutually beneficial partnerships with, developers, target house builders and consultants to deliver high quality affordable homes to reflect the needs of local communities
  • Working with the Heads of Services ensuring that programme schemes achieve their start on site contract dates
  • Leading, supporting, and developing Project Managers to undertake project management duties within agreed time, cost and quality constraints ensuring that the quality of building construction meets Eastlight’s requirements
  • Effectively and pro-actively manage, monitor, and control project budgets and ensure that programmes are delivered within deadlines 
  • Assisting the Head of Development (Delivery & Aftercare) on the delivery of new homes in accordance with Eastlight’s New Homes strategy
  • Proactively manage the Project Managers to meet internal and external delivery targets and monitor and manage project delivery risks to ensure that agreed outcomes are maintained

About you

  • Proven experience of delivering projects and controlling time, cost and project quality, including procurement; frameworks, development agreements and joint ventures
  • You will be a logical thinker, practical and solution focused 
  • Proven experience within a housing development
  • A thorough knowledge of the development and construction process from start on site through to completion, handover and operation
  • Proven track record of cross team working and cooperation across the business
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and ability to use a range of communication techniques and channels to a variety of audiences 
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills

  • Salary of £59,331 per annum
