We have an exciting opportunity for a Development Aftercare Manager to join our team! As a Development Aftercare Manager, you will be responsible for managing and delivering the aftercare service to Eastlight residents, providing a sector-leading customer experience.

The Development Aftercare Manager

  • You will assist the Head of Development (Delivery & Aftercare) in leading, supporting, and developing a talented team of Delivery & Aftercare professionals 
  • Build strong, mutually beneficial partnerships with developers, target house builders and consultants to deliver high quality affordable homes to reflect the needs of local communities
  • Lead on effectively dealing with defects by prevention, assisting the Project Managers in assessing the quality of new homes before they are handed over from the developers and contractors
  • To assist and provide programme monitoring to Eastlight’s leadership team and board
  • Oversee projects from practical completion through to obtaining the certificate of making good from the employer’s agent, ensuring internal and external delivery targets are met and risks minimalised 
  • Promote customer interests by ensuring solutions support a positive customer experience, and cost, time and quality risks are suitably mitigated

About you

  • Self-motivated and accountable 
  • You will be a logical thinker, practical and solution focused 
  • Proven experience within a housing development or other property-based organisation
  • Thorough knowledge of the aftercare and customer service process from handover to operation
  • Ability to work efficiently to meet agreed targets and deadlines 
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and ability to use a range of communication techniques and channels to a variety of audiences 
  • Understands and recognises the nature and scope of customers’ needs; making extra efforts to meet and exceed these, including follow up and monitoring outcomes
  • Demonstrates commitment to making a difference and looks for ways to improve and enhance outcomes for the benefit of the organisation and its stakeholders

  • Salary of £50,717 per annum
  • Car allowance of £2,200 per annum
