About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager, (Asset) to join our team in Oldham on a full-time permanent basis.

You will produce fixed asset schedules for us in the completion of the year end statement. You’ll support external audits by responding promptly to queries.  You’ll manage the delivery of a high-quality fixed assets accounting service to Guinness.

We are currently trialling hybrid working, which offers the opportunity to work 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home. Specific days to be agreed during the on-boarding process.

What we’re looking for
We’re a customer-focussed organisation so we know that how we do things is just as important as what we do. You’ll not only be an experienced Finance Manager, but you’ll also have great customer service skills.

You’ll also be able to demonstrate:

  • An excellent understanding of relevant accounting standards and SORP.
  • An understanding of practical experience of the implementation and use of Component Accounting.
  • An understanding of accounting for Fixed Assets in the social housing sector, to include specific experience/knowledge of the treatment of housing grants & property sales types.
  • Experience of reviewing and analysing financial information and reporting on results.
  • Experience in consolidation and reconciliations.
  • Management of an accounting team.
  • Good attention to detail with ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload to meet agreed deadlines.
  • An understanding of Oracle Financials or equivalent finance system.
  • Proven customer service experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communications.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours.
