This role is Fixed Term for 12 months covering maternity leave. NCHA colleagues wishing to apply for a secondment must get approval from their line manager.

 

The Service:

Monmouth Court is an independent living older person’s scheme of 17 bungalows in Worksop for people over 60 years. This is fabulous opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting older people to live a happy and fulfilling life. The Role:

As a Scheme manager you will provide a housing management service to tenants who live independently within the Scheme, and acting as a coordinator, signposting and liaising with tenants’ families and working in partnership with external agencies to ensure tenant needs are met. You will be responsible for running the scheme as a whole, reporting repairs and completing Health and Safety checks to ensure we consistently deliver a high service at all times. You will manage voids and lettings, ensuring the scheme is maintained and being responsible for tenant engagement and involvement. You will enjoy the company of our tenants and interact with them daily to ensure you and the team are providing the best possible care that you would want for a family member yourself.

 

The Requirements:

Substantial experience of supporting vulnerable people is essential, as well as a knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting older people. You will have current knowledge of social housing and housing management issues and experience of working in a similar role at a supervisory level is advantageous. You will understand the importance of team working, people’s basic human rights and the needs of people from diverse social, cultural and racial backgrounds. It is vital that you have basic literacy and numeracy skills as you will be expected to communicate effectively and input data onto our systems frequently. Basic knowledge of health and safety and food hygiene issues is beneficial.

 

Working times and hours:

This post carries 18 hours per week and can be worked over 3 to 5 days with a minimum of 6 hours per day working 3 days per week. Start times can be flexible between 8:30am to 9:30am.
