Join this innovative social business as Head of Asset Management and play a key leadership role in delivering sustainability, value for money and customer satisfaction.

Raven is a business with a clear social purpose: building homes and changing lives in Surrey and Sussex. We aim to be an outstanding provider of homes, a cornerstone of the community and an innovative employer.

As Head of Asset Management, you’ll lead development and delivery of our asset management strategy in order to meet our overall objective of high quality, sustainable and affordable homes. Working with the business management team to derive maximum strategic benefit from capital investment, you’ll also oversee the management of the high-profile Net Zero Carbon Programme, an area in which we are seen as a thought leader in the sector.

It will be your responsibility to develop a proactive, can-do, digital-first culture in your team and to lead and inspire them to deliver best value for money. Key projects include new and improved digital systems and automation, driving financial savings and strong contract management in delivery of our planned programmes, and maximising quality and value through in-sourcing customer-facing contracts. You’ll also work closely with the Head of Corporate H&S and Building Safety to ensure safe management across all our assets, and will be expected to promote a strong data management culture to inform decision making.

Preferably RICS or CIOB qualified, or equivalent, your track record includes asset management in a social housing context, with experience of managing H&S, staff and contracts in the construction or maintenance industry. Commercially and financially astute, with a good grasp of strategic and investment decision making, you’re also a proactive and inspirational leader of high performing teams, successful projects and programmes, and positive business change.

You’re up to date with the latest thinking on sustainability and committed to net zero carbon, as well as to balancing cost control with customer satisfaction and being a role model for H&S. You should also share our values: earning trust by being open and accountable, listening with an open mind, working collaboratively and caring about making things better.

We support and trust our staff to work as a team and be their best. We offer competitive salaries and benefits including a great pension scheme, generous holiday entitlement, and health cash plan, plus support for further training to develop your skills and career.
