Hightown Housing Association, based in Hemel Hempstead, works across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire developing and managing shared ownership, leasehold, general needs and supported housing.

Currently managing in excess of 1,200 shared ownership and leasehold properties, we expect the portfolio to increase to over 1,500 in the next three years we also manage non-standard rent groups such as rent to buy and intermediate rent.

We currently have an opportunity for a Retirement Leasehold Scheme Supervisor to join the Home Ownership Team for someone who shares our values which are:

About the role

You will be a key member of the Home Ownership team by:

  • Providing efficient and customer focused leasehold management service to the Association`s retirement leaseholders including direct line management of the scheme managers.
  • Havingsound knowledge and understanding of the legislation relating to leasehold tenure and service charges, and to be familiar with the lease agreements the Association has with its leaseholders.
  • Keeping up to date on current legislation, regulatory requirements and best practice.
  • Monitoring retirement leaseholder`s rent and service charge accounts, taking action to recover arrears and referring cases for legal action in accordance with policies and procedures.

About You

We are looking for somebody with a "can do, will do" approach who:

  • Has experience in leasehold management.
  • Had direct experience of managing and monitoring service charge budgets
  • is able to readthrough and understand leases.
  • is good with figures.
  • is able to provide line management of the scheme managers, including covering for absence and annual leave

You will also need to have access to your own car and a have a full UK drivers licence
