Last year alone we helped support, house, educate, advise and speak out for 38,000 disadvantaged young people and adults - and you could now help us make an even bigger impact going forward.

The Elms project provides 10 units of supported accommodation to single homeless people. Formal qualifications are not needed but the role requires experience of providing support to vulnerable people with a variety of needs related to mental and physical health, alcohol and substance misuse.

Experience of working closely with outside agencies and stakeholders as well as up to date benefits experience and knowledge of Safeguarding is required. Knowledge of the Mainstay system will also be beneficial, as this is used for management of referrals and support planning and recording

Duties and Responsibilities relating to housing management:

Assisting service users with housing benefit claims, monitoring rent accounts and following rent arrears procedure as required
Carrying out regular Fire Safety and Health and Safety Checks
Reporting maintenance, void management and induction of new service users.


The post holder should be familiar with quality standards and how these relate to the provision of Housing related support. Having a good understanding of Property Pool Plus and other routes into independent accommodation is required in order to assist our service users with move-on.
