South Hams & West Devon are grappling with a Housing Crisis that they are determined to do all they can to tackle. This new exciting role will be pivotal in accelerating the delivery of affordable housing by assisting landowners, RP’s and other partners navigate the planning process in a timely manner. We make no apology for putting the need for affordable housing as our top priority and creating an opportunity for a first rate planner, with an interest in affordable housing to help us deliver much needed homes for local people.

Make no mistake, the role will not be easy and reversing the impacts of the housing crisis will be a challenge but we are committed to doing all we can. The successful candidate needs to be innovative and creative and work with partners to find the best outcomes locally so good communication is key. You will receive the support from both development management and housing delivery colleagues and have the chance to influence the housing outcomes of people in one of the most unaffordable areas of the Country. If this sounds like a role for you, we would love to hear from you

We have a unique and forward thinking business model with a strong flexible working policy, as well as the ability to work in an agile way. Employees have the ability to work from home or other venues on a regular basis. If you think you have the right skills, capability and attitude to help us on this journey we want to hear from you.
