About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a multipurpose role with both Health and Safety and property compliance responsibilities under your remit. The role is an opportunity to really put your stamp on how we manage Health, Safety and Compliance with a reporting line to the Area Manager – Building Safety within the organisation. You will have the opportunity to be part of a close-knit team who all go above and beyond to assist each other which is perfect to embed a strong and positive safety culture with the right solution focussed approach.

You will be responsible for leading and developing the Facilities services team to ensure that we meet or exceed quality standards and regulatory requirements.  You will provide guidance and information regarding Health and Safety and Fire Safety to all our service delivery teams.  You will oversee that day to day management of many of our contracts to ensure that external services are delivered in accordance with the contact and that any difficulties are addressed in a timely and positive manner.

You will have experience of successfully leading and managing a facilities service.  You will have good technical knowledge of key agencies, legislation and practices within a wider facilities management remit.  You will have a participative approach and a commitment to involving customers in service delivery.

  • Experience of leading and managing teams
  • Experience of setting targets, monitoring performance against these targets and taking remedial action where targets are not met
  • Current and good knowledge and practical application of health & safety and fire safety law and legislation
  • Experience carrying out operational Health and Safety tasks within a multidiscipline organisation in an autonomous capacity across multiple sites
  • Experience of interpret/analyse numerical and statistical data
  • Experience in the use of CRM, Housing Management or Maintenance software and systems e.g. Salesforce.
