Senior Fire Safety Business Partner - South

Hybrid location: working from home or one of our regional hub offices in London

Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hpw)

Salary Circa £50,000 (dependent on experience) plus brilliant benefits

About you
As our Senior Fire Safety Business Partner for our Building Safety team, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) programme.

This will include supporting Health and Safety Business Partners in carrying out Fire Risk Assessments, validating and providing quality assurance of assessments, managing FRA contractors, liaising and coordinating between several stakeholders, undertaking FRAs and delivering an effective fire risk assessment programme across Home Group. You’ll report on the performance and challenges of the FRA programme, working with the wider health and safety team.

Working collaboratively with our Senior Fire Safety Business Partner in the North, you’ll develop, mentor and support colleagues undertaking fire risk assessments. You’ll will contract manage external consultants and manage their performance in delivering scheduled assessments.

Working with our operational teams, supporting housing management colleagues to safeguard (vulnerable) customers and embed a positive fire safety culture.  

It’s important that you have worked within health, safety and fire in either a housing or care environment. To keep us right and protect our business and customers, it’s critical that you hold a minimum level 4 award in Fire Safety or similar, NEBOSH (including the Fire Risk Management certificate), either Tier 2 or Level 3-4 or equivalent Fire Risk Assessment experience with high-life risk residential buildings in accordance with a recognised standard.

Here at Home Group we have invested heavily in our future and use current and up to date equipment. You’ll be issued with the latest kit, which could include a Surface Pro and mobile. So it's really important to us that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)

You need to be able to drive, as well as having access to a vehicle insured for business purposes. Don’t worry, we’ll pay you expenses to cover this use

Where you’ll work in this job
You’ll work across the country, with the flexibility of working either from home or in one of our local offices and we’ll give you the technology and kit to make that easy. The great news is that you’ll have the chance to shape your own diary, however, will likely spend around 2-3 days or so per week on the road, and working from offices and home the rest of the time.

Our manager is Steve, who is recently new to Home Group enjoys DIY activities and is passionate about people and fire safety. There are 12 of us in the team and we don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too!
