Who are we looking for:

Nacro are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive individual with experience of managing Housing related support services to join their Business Development team. The role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced service manager to further develop their service design and business development expertise.

You will be joining a lively team, committed to the delivery of Nacro’s new organisational strategy, a focus of which is the growth and development of our Housing related support business. Our Business Development team currently provide support to all 3 of our operational divisions, Education, Housing & Justice & Health, however given the emerging pipeline of housing opportunities we are keen to recruit someone into the team with a strong background in the delivery of housing services, along with the ability to coordinate and deliver large tenders.

You will report directly to the Head of Business Development and will work as part of the Business Development team but with a dotted line into our Housing Senior Management team to ensure there is consistent engagement between the operation and the business development function.

 

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:  

  • Manage bid teams and inputs from internal stakeholders for assigned bids – including operations, finance/commercial, legal, Human Resources, external engagement, etc Manage an agreed pipeline of work, including the bid qualification process for new opportunities
  • Support the development and production of larger, more complex bids in collaboration with BDM·   
  • Prepare and review the commercial aspects of a bid, ensuring all services are included in a competitive final price to the customer
  • Deliver high quality writing to support the production of bids, proposals, expressions of interest and other sales documents
  • Ensure timely delivery of compliant, competitive, and commercially sound bids
  • Work with operational and cross-department colleagues to understand the 'Nacro offer' and build a content library and compelling narrative for bids and proposals
  • Contribute to the development of bid processes
  • Update bid library and review feedback after each submission to build best practice and drive continuous improvement · Lead the development of 'thematic' cross organisation responses (e.g. social value, innovation etc)
