Is this a mission you'd love to have a helping hand in? We are looking for an enthusiastic apprentice keen to learn and develop their skills in customer service.

What do the Customer Experience and Insight team do?

We assist customers with all aspects of their home, from ensuring they live in a safe environment to help should they have problems or need additional support because of extra care needs. Working with our customers to deliver service improvements across the organisation through a range of engagement methods such as learnings from complaints, focus groups and consultations, satisfaction surveys and in-depth scrutiny exercises.

The role

The duration of the role is a two-year fixed-term contract to cover the length of the apprenticeship programme.

The Customer Engagement Apprentice will work within the Customer Experience and Insights Team, providing a first-class service to our customers.

The main duties of the role include:

  • Supporting the delivery of the customer engagement and involvement strategy.
  • Provide administration support for arranging customer events both online and face to face.
  • Work with relevant officers to create action and improvement plans based on customer voices.

You will undertake a level 3, Customer Service Specialist apprenticeship to support your development and chosen career path. Whilst undertaking your learning programme, your manager will help guide your development and day-to-day work, a mentor will provide extra support throughout your role, and you'll be working alongside experienced colleagues to learn hands-on, work-based skills.

The candidate:

We look for the following in all our apprentices:

  • Enthusiasm for the role and THT.
  • Ability to understand and be understood, both in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as being a good team player.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to manage/prioritise own workload.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow.
  • Acceptable standard of education, ideally GCSE's in English and Maths, Grade C / Grade 4 or above.

In addition, the following skills/experience are desirable for the role:

  • Empathy and understanding to communicate with people from a variety of diverse backgrounds.
  • Good customer care skills.
  • Basic IT Skills.
  • Passion for service improvement.
