What you’ll be doing:

It’s a really exciting time to come and join us here at  Anchor! 

As a key part of our Leadership and Talent Team, you will work closely with the HR Business Partner and other internal stakeholders to map talent, develop succession planning and ensure that clear career pathways and development opportunities are in place to support Anchors Central Support Teams.

It’s all about being fit for the future so keeping up to date with sector changes and talent best practice is key for this role! You will be supporting and mentoring key stakeholders with developing their teams to meet the needs of the people plan and our customers. You will also ensure evaluation and impact are front and centre, enabling you to continually feed into improving our effectiveness and contribution.  

As well as developing and promoting, you will be continually reviewing career pathways and opportunities within the central support area of the business. You will also be responsible for identifying and supporting talent from underrepresented groups.

As the Talent Development Specialist, you will attend events and represent Anchor as an employer of choice.

About you

To be successful in this role:

  • You will already have significant experience of working within an L&D or OD function and have good working knowledge and understanding of professional qualifications.
  • You naturally adopt a consultative approach with stakeholders, and are an experienced coach.
  • You will have excellent stakeholder management at all levels, along with exceptional communication skills.  
  • You will have a broad knowledge of talent management and succession planning.  Solid knowledge of performance management best practice is also required.
  • Preferably you will have CIPD level 5
  • Along with the ability to use date and information to support the central support area of the business, we are looking for you to have a good working knowledge of IT systems.
