We currently seeking a Disrepair Manager to join our team. Using your specialist professional expertise and knowledge, you’ll provide building pathology assessment of defects to specify and rectify faults and where appropriate, reduce our liability to legal claims by implementing an approach based on comprehensive assessment and risk management.

 

 

This is an important role in which you will:

 

● Lead on the selection, appointment and retention of specialist contractors

● Lead, motivate and develop the disrepair team to enable them to support the delivery of a high-quality disrepair service

● Provide clear management based on the development of a high performance culture that builds an environment based on trust, mutual respect and integrity

● Be responsible for staff development, recruitment, deployment, motivation, performance management, training, absence management and discipline

● Manage and monitor the delivery of in house and external repairs and maintenance works

● Ensure that all disrepair cases are managed within time and quality targets

● Ensure that all written procedures are implemented and adhered to across all technical functions

 

 

To be successful in this role you will:

 

● Be qualified to Level 4 or equivalent in Chartered Surveying

● Have people management and leadership experience

● Be a member or RICS or CIOB or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge gained through extensive and relevant experience

● Demonstrate a significant knowledge of building disrepair through extensive and relevant experience along with a proven track record of delivering an operational service

● Have a sound knowledge of health and safety legislation relevant to property maintenance and repair specifically related to building surveying management

 

● Hold a full driving licence with access to own transport
