Location: Packington Estate (mobile role with remote working available)

12 month FTC

Salary: £32,100 -£39,780

Closing date: 30/06/2022

We’re looking to recruit an Estate Services Supervisor to join our Resident Services team at based within the Packington Estate. This is a 12 month FTC, with flexible and remote working available.

In this role, you’ll supervise and manage the Estate Services caretaking team to ensure a responsive and comprehensive caretaking service is provided to Hyde’s customers on the Packington Estate.

You will also monitor the performance of the teams ensuring a good standard of performance, compliance with Health and Safety Regulations and value for money are achieved for service charge payers.

Duties of an Estate Services Supervisor:

  • Deliver a high-quality estate-based service, taking the lead on responding to resident queries regarding cleaning, caretaking and ground maintenance services. Ensure that communal repairs, breaches in lease and tenancies and ASB in communal areas are proactively reported to relevant departments.
  • Take day to day operational responsibility for allocated estate services teams ensuring that the communal services across all blocks are delivered to a consistently high standard
  • Directly manage the caretaking team ensuring that operatives can be contacted at all times during core working hours.
  • Take responsibility for the supervision and deployment of staff.
  • Ensure the estate is maintained to specification, to enhance resident satisfaction: All gardens, court-yard areas and planted areas to be kept well maintained and free from rubbish.
  • Act as point of contact for all communal repairs and coordinate use of communal keys for contractors' access as and when required
  • Liaise with Local Authority departments and other key external and internal stakeholders to ensure prompt and regular domestic refuse collection is undertaken and that any missed collections are reported promptly to the refuse department.
  • Liaise with the Estate Services Contract Manager to resolve Grounds Maintenance and Cleaning contract issues as these arise including dealing with complaints from residents ensuring that estates are maintained to a standard which reflects specifications.

Experience & Skills

  • Strong man-management background (3-5 years)
  • Housing experience
  • Excellent communication skills including written and verbal with the ability to build strong relationships and respond to complaints
  • IT literate
