What you’ll be doing:

As a key part of our Organisation Effectiveness (OE) Team and leading a team of 6, the Learning Design Manager is responsible for ensuring that training is designed and delivered to a high standard and is aligned to the organisation's needs and organisational brief, demonstrating compliance and return on investment. 

Using a blend of classroom and learning technologies, you will provide the roadmap for training that enhances our colleague learner journey. Utilising internal and external MI, you will identify learning needs and work with key stakeholders to identify and develop new learning and produce high quality, cost-effective and engaging learning content.  You will also manage external contracts to deliver training requirements and ensure OE compliance with external bodies, i.e. CQC, SfC

About you

To be successful in this role you will already have experience in the following:

  • Managing a new Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Classroom and e-learning design
  • Working with customers to agree requirements for learning solutions
  • Working with stakeholders at all levels, you will have exceptional communication skills. 
  • Managing a team and managing priorities
  • Working with third party suppliers
  • Collecting, analysing and using feedback from recipients to improve learning products

It would be advantageous if you also have the following:

  • Experience in implementing a new LMS
  • CIPD level 5 qualification
  • Up to date knowledge of industry best practice, market competitors and developments in the L&D and OE arena
