Hours:  36.25 hours per week

What does Laurus Homes do?

Laurus Homes is fast becoming one of the most exciting developers within the North-West. We’re a very different kind of property development company. We use our profits to lend a helping hand through affordable housing and community projects. We design homes with a range of options for everyone, including shared ownership and Help to Buy scheme to help getting on the ladder that little bit easier.

The role

The Planning & Development Graduate will work in the New Business (pre-contract) team, playing a supporting role across planning, development, and commercial activities.

The candidate:

We are looking for the following:

  • A related vocational degree is preferred such as Planning, Development or Construction. Degrees in Geography and Economics will also be accepted.
  • Enthusiasm for the role & Laurus Homes.
  • Ability to understand and be understood, both in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as being a great team player.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems.
  • Willingness to learn and grow.

Please note a full driving licence and access to a car is required for the role.

In addition, the following skills/experience are desirable for the role:

  • Commercial Awareness
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Strong analytical skills.

You will undertake a Level 4 Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship to hone your project management skills, gaining valuable work experience so you can add real value to the organisation. Whilst undertaking the graduate programme your manager will help guide your development and day-to-day work, a mentor will provide extra support throughout your role and you’ll be working alongside experienced colleagues to learn hands on, work-based skills.
