Location Walsall, West Midlands  

Contract:  Full Time, Fixed Term, 37 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for a Health and Housing Partnership Manager to join our Health and Wellbeing team. In this role, you will work with key social housing providers who operate within the Black Country region (Walsall, Wolverhampton, Dudley and Sandwell). You will influence and ensure the development of productive relationships which will lead to housing associations understanding, aligning and collaborating with the Black Country Wet Birmingham Integrated Care System, which ultimately will lead to improved health outcomes within the local population.  



Main job responsibilities: 


  • Lead the ongoing development of a Black Country social housing providers health and housing forum; developing strong links and aligning identified social housing providers with the BCWBICS and the local place based ICP’s. 
  • Successfully embed social housing within the ICS and ICP systems ensuring that social housing customers and other seldom heard groups are represented, and their needs heard, understood and acted upon within available structures and forums. 
  • Be a strong advocate for the ICS model encouraging social housing providers to invest time and resources in training and other activities. 
  • Influence key stakeholders within the ICS, the ICP and social housing providers to encourage a fundamental shift in their understanding of the broader role that social housing can play in reducing health inequalities. 
  • Promote social housing as both a place shaper and health maker ensuring a new approach to commissioning and procurement of health prevention services is adopted and implemented.  




We're looking for someone who has: 


  • Significant experience of working at a senior level within social housing, health, community development, NHS Social Care, Public Health, the charitable sector or within the CVS. 
  • A proven track record of managing complex strategic programmes to a successful outcome. 
  • Being a natural communicator using innate influencing skills to build positive partnerships and individual relationships. 
  • The ability to use IT software and packages to record and present high-level information. 
  • Being confident and enthusiastic to use social media to cascade and promote key messages and information.
