We have a new permanent opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer to own the development of data integration, data systems management, ensuring Guinness’s data platform and reporting application is fit for purpose.

Essential Experience:

  • Experience in a data engineering role with demonstrable scenarios of taking the lead in projects/delivery within a large organisation.
  • Track record and ability to manage business expectations, delivering modern data products and taking ownership.
  • Demonstrable experience and exposure of developing fit for purpose data solutions to meet current and planned business needs.
  • Experienced in dealing with significantly varied datasets, technologies, data quality issues and data management.
  • Good understanding of data management concepts such as traceability, lineage, system of record and authority, master data and reference data.
  • Good demonstrable data modelling skills with on premises and cloud based data platforms with experience in SSIS, SSMS, SQL, T-SQL, ADF.
  • Data modelling on SQL Server on prem as well as Microsoft Azure SQL database or other MPP technologies.
  • Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours.
  • Demonstrates the Guinness Leadership and Management Standard.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience of the social housing market and applications.
  • Implementation of Master Data Management solutions.
  • Experience with Oracle and other non-Microsoft solutions.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level standard (or equivalent) in computing related subject.

Please note we currently have a hybrid work model where we are based in the office 2 days a week and at home 3 days a week.
