We have an excellent opportunity for an outstanding candidate with a passion for social housing to provide leadership to our Income Team. This is an ideal role for an experienced housing professional with a proven rents/income management background who is looking for a new challenge.
Reporting to the Head of Housing Management, you will be the Housing Division’s lead professional for rents and arrears management, ensuring high standards of customer service are provided to residents and motivating a busy team to maintain high levels of performance.
This is a time of change for the City of London Corporation, and you will be able to bring your knowledge, expertise and inspiration to deliver improvements to our customer offer and help us shape the service we deliver to our residents.
The post will form part of a team of senior managers and there will be scope to influence the delivery of other service areas outside your immediate remit. It will be vital that you can work collaboratively and think about the bigger picture.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Significant experience of successfully leading and developing staff
- Substantial experience of rent and service charge management in the social housing sector.
- Excellent IT skills and experience of using housing management and financial systems.
- Knowledge of legislation and regulation on setting rents and tenant service charges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a confident presentation style.
- A positive “can do” attitude and a commitment to a high standard of service delivery.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and as part of the selection process the successful applicants will be required to obtain a Standard Disclosure & Barring Service check
Please note that occasional travel will be required to other City of London sites for meetings and staff supervision. Occasional evening and weekend work is required by prior arrangement (TOIL scheme available).
Candidates must explain in their personal statement how they meet the requirements of the post.
