Tenancy Protection Officer (Fraud Investigation)

About the role
Swan Housing operates in Essex and East London and manages over 10,000 homes with plans in place to deliver more new homes as part of an ambitious three-year strategy. We create communities, we build and sell new homes and provide a range of services to our customers. We do this by being innovative and enterprising. We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking member of staff with the ability to work alone, carry out home visits, investigate tenancy and fraud related enquires and cases.
The successful candidate will need outstanding communication and investigative skills, ideally have some experience of working in a social housing environment and an understanding of current guidance on tenancy fraud.
Key responsibilities will include:

Proactively identifying cases of tenancy fraud and recovering properties that have been unlawfully obtained or misused.

Carry out tenancy reviews and tenancy audits with Essex and London residents in their homes

Ensure appropriate legal action is taken to deal with all breaches of tenancies.

Swan’s central point of contact for tenancy protection and investigative work. This will include contact with residents, staff, solicitors and local authorities.
For the above post you will have/be:

Excellent customer service and investigative skills
-
Ability to resolve challenges independently
-
Have excellent organisation skills and a keen eye for detail
-
Knowledge of tenancy management, prevention of social housing fraud act, unlawful profit orders and regulatory requirements.

Computer literate with knowledge of Word and Excel packages.
Due to the nature of the role you must have a driving licence and access to a vehicle.
