Senior Housing Investment Manager

Could you help tackle London’s housing crisis and ensure more homes are built across the capital by helping us to invest and grow the Mayor’s Homes for Londoners £736m Land Fund? The fund is available to invest in opportunities with developers, housing associations and public/private partnerships to accelerate and unlock house-building, especially affordable housing.

We are seeking a Senior Housing Investment Manager to lead the Transactions Team. The successful candidate must be an excellent problem solver and strong team leader. We are looking for someone with commercial expertise in residential property development and/or development finance or related fields, along with experience of contract negotiation, deal structuring and programme management. You will be managing a high performing and diverse team of six Housing Investment Managers and Reporting Managers and reporting to the Head of Housing Delivery & Compliance.

The Transactions Team is responsible for:

  • Transacting and negotiating complex financial investments
  • Managing transacted projects
  • Managing the c.£620m loan book
  • Managing Housing & Land’s risk exposure
  • Identifying new and innovative investment opportunities
  • Reporting on fund performance to internal boards and central government

This role will be based at City Hall, in the Royal Docks (Kamal Chunchie Way, London, E16 1ZE). GLA staff are hybrid working up to 3 days a week in our offices and remotely depending on their role. As part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office.
