The Greater London Authority is recruiting a private rented sector (PRS) Manager.
You will be responsible for a team of four who deliver the Mayor’s policy interventions to support London’s sizeable private rented sector. These include tenancy reform and rent control, supporting local licensing schemes and borough enforcement against criminal landlords, and embedding further the Mayor’s Rogue Landlord and Agent Checker.

You will be joining at an exciting time for the private rented sector, being responsible for the Mayor’s response to the long-awaited renters reform bill, as well as representing the affordability pressures facing renters as London responds to the cost of living crisis.
You will need to have an ability to work autonomously and set the strategic priorities for the team, combined with high quality relationship management skills.
You will have a track record of high-quality policy analysis and ideally will have an understanding of the key issues in the private rented sector in London. We want to understand how your skills and experience are relevant to this work, regardless of your professional background.
This position is full time (37 hours a week). However, the GLA is committed to being an inclusive employer and we are happy to consider part-time and flexible working requirements.
You will be anchored at the London Fire Brigade’s Head Office (Union Street SE1 0LL) but also work from City Hall (Kamal Chunchie Way E16 1ZE). GLA staff are hybrid working with an average of 2-3 days a week in the office.
