The Role

Oxford City Council has an opportunity for an experienced Energy and Carbon Manager to assist in the planning, implementation and delivery of Energy and Carbon projects on both our Housing and corporate portfolio. The successful application will also contribute to the overall Energy strategy and advise on routes to achieving the Councils Carbon Targets and actively work to eliminate fuel poverty across our portfolios.

You will be working within an innovative and forward thinking team and various teams within the Council. You will be using strong interpersonal and communication skills to ensure buy in from stakeholders and wider audiences to understand the importance of this area of development. The successful candidate will have proven skills supported by a formal qualification and a track record of delivering complex strategies, projects and initiatives.

You will need to be self-motivated, adaptable and flexible in your approach to work and be an effective communicator, possess negotiation and influencing skills with a wide range of stakeholders including customers, partners and external agencies both orally and in writing, including the compilation of reports.
