This role is an opportunity for an aspiring or experienced policy officer to drive the development of housing-related strategies across both Erewash and wider partnerships as well as helping to shape and support the delivery of affordable housing within the borough.
You will take a central role in developing Erewash’s housing, homelessness and private-sector housing strategies, influencing and working with partners to meet shared objectives within local and countywide strategic partnerships. The wide-ranging scope of the post includes supporting teams to innovate in the provision of services as well as improve delivery and performance through analysing data and problem-solving.
Therefore you will need experience of strategy and policy development, project management, and an understanding of the key elements of enabling affordable housing. A degree or diploma, for example in housing studies, social policy or a relevant discipline, together with effective communication and presentation skills are also essential requirements of the role.
