What you'll do
You’ll be joining Optivo at an exciting time as we focus on developing innovative ways to involve our 90,000 residents in improving the way we work. Optivo’s 2020-25 Strategic Plan, ‘Co-creating our Future’ puts this front and centre. In this new role, you’ll join a new team tasked with bringing our co-creation ambitions to life.
As Service Designer – Co-creation at Optivo, you’ll have the opportunity to lead on co-creation projects which involve residents, staff, and external stakeholders to design or improve Optivo services, policies, and procedures.
You’ll be part of a new team with a new agenda that will be supporting our strategic direction. In this role you’ll be working across the business, to take the lead or provide support to colleagues, to deliver a range of co-creation projects.
You’ll collaborate with senior staff and stakeholders, utilising service design techniques across a varied range of projects in line with Optivo’s co-creation framework. You’ll plan and deliver projects to specifications set by project sponsors, ensuring stakeholders are kept updated throughout. Monitoring and evaluation are important to measuring the success of projects so will form a key part of your role.
What you’ll need
The Service Designer – Co-creation will have an in-depth understanding of co-creation principles and evaluation methods, as well as an interest in innovation and emerging design thinking fields.
You’ll have a good understanding of service design, perhaps with a qualification or willingness to work towards one, along with demonstrable project management skills (preferably Agile). This role requires experience in facilitating workshops, strong presentation skills, and the successful candidate will be organised and efficient with their time.
You’ll be a customer focussed individual who has empathy and understanding and has the ability to communicate with people from various backgrounds.
You’ll be comfortable working at pace, adaptable to suit the project, and able work to tight deadlines with changing goals.
