Job Details

Would you like to be part of an ambitious organisation truly looking to make a difference to the sector? The South East Consortium (SEC) is a not for profit organisation representing social housing providers in London and the South East.  SEC run more than 100 competitions each year and currently administer more than 18 different frameworks – both these numbers will grow further.  We take a lead role in providing customers with procurement and technical solutions.

Our service is focused on making things easy for our customer, providing options and making sure the outcome is best value.  SEC are looking for a talented professional to play a key part in our busy team.  Your approach to customer care is crucial as you’ll be the main point of contact for customers wishing to award from our extensive number of frameworks.  You’ll need to be well organised and good with deadlines.

The role will involve you having an understanding of a procurement service. OJEU experience is desirable but not essential. Ideally, you’ll have an understanding of social housing too.

Reporting to the Procurement Managers in our team you’ll:

•    Carry out mini tenders and direct awards on behalf of framework / DPS users, to include management of cost and quality evaluation processes
•    Support and advise customers through all stages of a procurement process
•    Engage with customers to understand and administer their procurement needs
•    Support Procurement Manager with framework tendering and administration
•    Support customers with bespoke procurement activities
•    Monitor the performance and usage of our frameworks
•    Constantly review our internal processes and procedures

We require a self-motivated colleague who has an eye for detail.  You’ll also have strong analytical skills and be able to engage with customers at all levels. You’ll need to be flexible and prepared to travel to meet customers and contractors.

You will be given the flexibility of working from home 3 to 4 days a week, and the remaining days onsite.

To find out more, please contact Louise Free, SEC Procurement Manager (Partnerships) – (0784 188 7680).

Closing date for applications: 11th August 2022 at 23:59

Please note that we will be reviewing applications and conducting interviews on an ongoing basis. We reserve the right to close the advert prior to the closing date so it is important that you submit your application as soon as possible.

We’re all different in our own way and we want our colleagues to feel comfortable, that they belong, and are safe to be themselves at work, without fear of being judged or excluded, but valued for their contribution to our One Team approach.
