We're really excited here at LHP as we've just created 2 x Repairs Planner positions within our successful Repairs Team on a 6 month fixed term contract with a Competitive Salary of £20,197 pro rata.

This is a pilot scheme and if successful there may be an opportunity that these positions will become permanent.

As a Repairs Planner, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with both the Customer Contract Centre, Multi-skilled Operatives and Trade Supervisors whilst always operating in accordance with departmental practices, standing orders and financial processes and regulations to enable the department to achieve its objectives in terms of time, cost and quality of service.

What will I be asked to do as a Repairs Planner?

  • Contacting and arranging suitable appointment dates with customers
  • Scheduling trade resources to maximise productivity and ensure efficiency
  • Schedule and issue various specialist work utilising LHP’s approved contractors
  • Monitoring emergency orders to ensure they are dispatched and attended to within priority timescales
  • Reschedule follow on works and reallocate work across engineers where required
  • Ensuring all work is closed correctly and tasks are completed
  • Ensuring contractor orders are closed promptly allowing for payments to be processed
  • Ensuring certificates, forms, permits and any other documentation is received and uploaded to EDRMS
  • Working closely with Supervisors to review and adjust trade resources and highlight any productivity issues
  • Keeping Supervisors apprised of any issues negatively impacting on productivity i.e. materials sourcing, tools, PPE etc
  • Taking internal and external customer calls and queries
  • Assist the Planning Team Leader with data contributing to reports for Property Services Management Team, Senior Management Team and Board

What skills, attributes and experience will I need as a Repairs Planner?

  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft applications to produce a range of documents to a high standard using a variety of software packages
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision or as part of a team
  • Customer focused with a commitment to exceptional service delivery
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to form relationships with customers.
  • The ability to problem solve.
  • Sharing best working practice within the team.

  • Induction/training will be conducted at the Grimsby office during the first week.
  • Attendance at a monthly meeting at the Grimsby office will be required.
