SERVICE LEAD

 Job type - Full-Time/Fixed-Term (until 09/2023)
 Salary - £33,065 (plus £1300 Unsociable Hours Allowance)
 Hours - 35 hours per week ( plus 5 hours paid lunch break)

Who are we looking for?

A passionate, energetic and inspirational Service Lead who will work within our team in Lincolnshire to coordinate the day to day operational delivery of housing related support services within Nacro's Intensive Need Accommodation Team . You will improve the lives of young people using these services with a view that they can step down into less intensive accommodation. Through a creative and caring approach, you will build good, trusting relationships, supporting young people to achieve their potential and explore new opportunities and interests. This is a fast paced, reactive environment where energy and initiative are vital.

We are looking for someone with a sound understanding of the support needs of Young People who typically use our services. The ideal candidate must have at least one year's professional experience of working with Young People or at least three years' experience of providing care and/or support services within another social care setting. Additionally, you will have demonstrable experience of managing staff, ensuring agreed performance standards and financial targets are met whilst achieving good quality outcomes.

We are looking for someone with knowledge and understanding of housing provision and the welfare benefits system, as well as issues surrounding alcohol and substance misuse and complex needs.

You will have great communication and time-management skills and possesses the ability to remain calm in stressful situations. You will be flexible and open to change, and able to work collaboratively with others. You must hold a Level 2 understanding of computers, word processing and updating computer databases.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • To coordinate all incoming placements to the Youth Housing Contract To work with Hub Leads to ensure placement planning meetings are held in a timely manner.
  • To manage a team of front line Intensive Need Support workers to deliver an effective support and housing management service to the most complex young people, ensuring the service is delivered to a high standard, meeting all contractual and performance requirements.  
  • Acting as a lead operational partner liaising with other agencies, partners and commissioners as required.  Agreeing service level agreements with external agencies that can provide specialist support to your service and build and maintain effective working relationships both externally and internally. 
  • Work collaboratively with other internal support services -such as Quality, Policy and Safeguarding as well as Finance, IT and HR in order to ensure we are providing the best service to our users.

A driving licence and access to vehicle are essential for this role. Travel is required throughout Lincolnshire.

An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. 

This role involves working Mon-Fri 09:00 - 17:00, with on-call responsibilities.
