Building Surveyor
Job type - Full time, permanent
Salary - £34,897 per annum
Hours - 35 hours per week (+ 5 hours paid lunch)
Location – Southeast - can be based anywhere, willingness to travel.

Who are we looking for?
We are searching for a Building Surveyor to work as part of our national team which protects and maintains the property portfolio owned and leased by the Nacro Group. You will ensure that it is maintained to a high standard and complies with relevant statutory and regulatory standards while being in line to meet Nacro’s business objectives. You must have the ability to work alone, and as part of a team and be able to ability to communicate with Contractors, Landlords and Staff.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- To inspect properties for the purposes of planning maintenance schedules, assessing dilapidation or other regulatory compliance including health and safety, asbestos testing and fire regulations.
- To undertake decent homes surveys in line with current regulations including assessments and energy surveys.
- To assist in the preparation and implementation of planned and cyclical maintenance programmes.
- Liaise with landlords/contractors and staff to ensure they deliver their responsibilities within agreed targets.
- To ensure tenant consultation and participation are treated as core activities, central to the effective service delivery.
- This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor to take on a large portfolio with a wide geographical location.
- To be able to carry out property surveys to identify repairs and carry out property conditions reports and dilapidation reports.
- Be able to form a schedule of work for quotes as required.
A full driving licence and access to a car will be required for this role as travel will be required.
