At Brighter Places, we are pleased to announce that a vacancy has become available for a Delivery Manager to join our team in a hybrid / agile working environment. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a starting salary of £47,350 per annum with the opportunity to obtain additional performance related pay increments.

About our Delivery Manager role:

As our Delivery Manager, you will play a key role in leading the way we deliver our Development Programme to meet the needs of our residents and the ‘Growth’ priority of our organisation.

You will receive the following benefits as our Delivery Manager:

Key Responsibilities as our Delivery Manager:

  • You will lead, oversee and performance manage the Delivery team to deliver a circa £65m programme of affordable housing projects including land-led, developer-led and S106 schemes to a quality that meets the organisations design standards, ensuring that scheme design and construction reflect climate change and the Zero Carbon targets within the region and sector.
  • You will lead on and review new opportunities and submit bids where they meet the Growth targets and deliver specialist projects which could include MMC, zero carbon and identifying alternative funding streams.
  • You will project manage the more complex projects in the programme, including carrying out scheme appraisals, project plan and risk register, procure, appoint, as well as manage consultants and contractors as appropriate to support the successful delivery of these projects.

What we’re looking for in our Delivery Manager:

You will have a proven track record with experience in a similar role and be able to scan the horizon, understand the business needs and develop workable solutions and strategies. You will be able to strike a balance between the need to lead a function and being a hands on technical expert where required.

You will be zero-carbon conscious and will take a collaborative approach with the ability to develop and sustain partnerships with a range of external and internal stakeholders. As a confident and dynamic team leader, you will be able to make sound judgements and develop creative solutions to complex problems and issues.
