37.5 hours per week (including out of hours emergency on call rota)

As Operations Manager, you’ll support three team leaders across our female scheme, male scheme and 145 homes, with a focus on housing management. You’ll also support, manage and develop teams, as well as monitoring overall performance, to make sure that all of our homes remain safe and high quality.

 

 

Job requirements:

· Engaging with customers experiencing difficult life challenges and multiple disadvantages, including street homelessness and those at risk of losing their home.

· Supporting community and staff teams. You’ll spend the majority of your time across our supported housing schemes and property portfolio, developing and modelling best practice.

· You’ll lead, guide and support staff teams in day-to-day service delivery and housing management activities, making sure that buildings are fit for purpose, compliant with health and fire safety regulations and remain safe places to live.

· You’ll be an ambassador for Concrete; promoting and representing the service and charity as requested by commissioners, in the community, sector and with partner organisations.

· You will quickly identify gaps in service provision and develop scheme specific procedures to put this right, in line with our approach and values.

 

 

What we’re looking for:

· Someone with management experience within the homelessness, supported housing and/or complex needs services sector.

· Excellent day-day management skills, including direct and clear communications with staff teams and individuals in 24/7 services.

· Knowledge of managing contracts, planning and delivering on the operational side of services.

· Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle for work purposes

· Ability to work flexibly and outside normal office hours/evenings/weekend/bank holidays to meet team, customer and business needs including the provision of on-call support.
