Cambridge City Council is committed to meeting our Net Zero ambitions for the residents of Cambridge and has long been active in facilitating the retrofit of homes. As a result, we are strengthening our team to give focus to this vital work and our looking for an experienced new team member to help develop and manage our home retrofit schemes. The role will work across council services, with partner authorities and external partners to drive the delivery of new and innovative building retrofit projects, with particular focus on the private sector.
We have recently been awarded significant ‘Sustainable Warmth’ funding by central government to assist fuel poor households across Cambridgeshire and are focussed on maximising this opportunity to develop our joint working with all Cambridgeshire local authorities to deliver whole house retrofit opportunities for both grant-funded and able to pay residents in Cambridge.
