The Hyde Group is one of the UK’s largest owners and developers of affordable housing. We have the funding in place to deliver 10,000 new homes over the next 5 years and will be working closely with City investors to achieve our goal of creating more quality homes.

As a Development Manager, you will be responsible for the Group’s Development Programme through the complete development process, from site identification/acquisition, through to sale or transfer to the internal Property Management team.

You must be comfortable liaising and updating external external clients with the progress being made on land deals and build projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the development projects.
• Coordinate the construction project managers.
• Identify and acquire suitable development sites/land opportunities.
• Promote sites through the planning system to obtain planning permission.
• Achieve annual targets for land with implementable planning permission to go into production.
• Acquire land on the most cost-effective basis and within defined areas.
• Manage land and property assets acquired for development but not yet in production.
• Work closely with internal teams to support Hyde’s strategic objectives achieve annual targets.

Skills and Experience

• Candidates must have recent relevant experience within a residential property development role including; previous experience of land acquisition, strong financial appraisal skills, ability to represent and negotiate with clients
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Project Management skills
• Understanding of the development process from inception to completion
• An understanding of the UK housing market and the obligations that a RP has when developing
