Financial Accountant

You will be responsible for coordinating and preparing the annual Financial Statements for audit, including any necessary group consolidation, liaising with colleagues and external auditors as required.
Prepare monthly management accounts for Eastlight and its fully owned subsidiaries, including necessary intercompany, accrual and prepayment adjustments.
Coordinate monthly reconciliations of items held on the Statement of Financial Position to relevant working files, ensuring any variances are appropriately challenged and documented.
Demonstrate an acute attention to detail and investigatory nature towards all processing, reconciliation and reporting duties. Ensuring data is reviewed and discrepancies rectified on a timely basis.
Mentor the trainee accountants, supporting their development and empowering them to reach their maximum potential.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, ensuring consistency and understanding of business performance.
Prepare monthly statistical information, including calculation of Value for Money metrics, rent arrears as a percentage of rent due and internal Key Performance indicators.
Uphold a strong financial internal control framework aligned with Financial Regulations, highlight improvements or areas where these are at risk of being neglected and ensure that there is overall good corporate governance; escalating issues to Head of Service as appropriate.
