We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Contracts Manager to lead our operational building maintenance team ensuring delivery of work in line with the client’s requirements, to the company’s high standards and at the best value. The Building Maintenance team delivers repairs and maintenance to 14,500 social homes, 3,000 leaseholders and the Councils non-housing property portfolio of 250 buildings. Excellent customer service underpins everything we do at NCSL.

 

You will be a crucial member of the leadership team and work closely with the Operations Director and the management team to establish and embed the new service into the company culture, ensuring it delivers excellent services to residents. You will be responsible for all aspects of repairs and maintenance services to the Council’s social housing stock and non-housing property portfolio reactive repairs, refurbishment of empty properties, major repairs works, whole house improvement (major works), a handyperson service and a range of compliance works. This is a varied role that will lead and manage a service with a budget of more than £11m ensuring effectiveness and efficiency together with potential for profitability. 

 

If you have relevant operational experience (construction and maintenance) in a related field at a senior management level, alongside extensive people management experience, leadership skills and budget management expertise then we would love to hear from you. You should also have a strong commercial and business acumen, detailed knowledge of contract management and a working knowledge of property and housing maintenance services in a Social Housing context
