Leeds Federated is a housing association with around 4,300 properties across Leeds, Wakefield and North Yorkshire. Our mission is to enable the maximum number of people to access and live sustainably in good value, affordable housing.
We are continuing to develop new housing which offers value for money for the organisation and is affordable for our customers. We are committed to delivering 1,500 new affordable homes over a ten year period.
This is an exciting opportunity for an Estates Manager (internally called Service Manager) to join our Community Spaces Team (grounds maintenance, fire testing & cleaning services) to be part of the delivery and monitoring of these services across our communal areas.
The main purpose of this role is to ensure that our customers receive an excellent service from our Community Spaces team. The successful candidate will work alongside another Estates Manager to manage the team to deliver regular scheduled visits and associated services to our customers.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Staff management, recruitment & selection • Vehicle management & associated tasks such as insurance claims • Health & Safety checks including risk assessments & toolbox talks • Site inspections to monitor standards of work completed for gardening & cleaning services • Identifying value for money and efficiencies • Striving to improve customer satisfaction through service delivery
Our ideal candidate will:
• Be a strong communicator with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels • Have experience in horticulture & grounds maintenance • Have knowledge of health & safety, COSHH, and fire safety • Have a flexible and innovative approach • Have experience and strive to deliver excellent customer service
