Southdown are a leading provider of care, support and supported housing across Sussex. we are looking to appoint a Head of Asset Management; a newly created role as part of our ongoing commitment to service quality for tenants and to drive excellence in operational delivery across repairs and maintenance, planned reinvestment, property safety, decarbonisation, and development.
Southdown is proud of its property portfolio record of investment. This is a key operational leadership role within Southdown to oversee quality in service delivery and planned reinvestment – ensuring our homes, offices and facilities are maintained, that the specific needs of our client groups are heard and implemented and that we remain compliant with our regulatory and legislative obligations and continue to make progress against our decarbonisation commitments.
You will support the Director of Housing and Business Services in the delivery of our Housing and Asset Management Strategy – in reinvestment, acquisitions, disposals, and developments – and ensure our housing assets continue to meet Decent Homes Standards and the requirements of building health and safety and fire safety legislation. The Head of Asset Management will proactively track emerging legislation and industry best practice in continue to refine our approach to property safety and compliance; planned and cyclical reinvestment; void turnaround and responsive maintenance.
You’ll bring a deep understanding of property, a passion for driving improvements and an understanding of the importance of data in providing safe, decent, good-quality homes and facilities.
