The Vacancy
Barnet Homes is seeking to hire an Early Intervention and Prevention Visiting Officer to add to the growing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and empowering customers to manage their tenancies successfully, this will include Income Maximisation, including accessing benefits, training and employment and budgeting skills. The role focusses on Opendoor Homes customers and will involve travelling to customers homes inside and outside of the borough.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience of tenancy management, income maximisation and understanding of the benefit system.
- Excellent communicators who will give clear and concise advice to customers.
- Good listeners who will be empathetic when helping customers facing challenging personal circumstances.
- Quick learners who will be motivated to take ownership of their workload and think innovatively to find solutions for their customers’ needs.
- Knowledge of the housing sector or housing law is desired but not essential.
