Voids Surveyor 

Bedford and surrounding areas (Hybrid) 

Full Time, (37 hours per week) 

Permanent  

From £36,750 per annum plus £2000 car allowance 

We are currently looking for a Voids Surveyor to be responsible for a full range of technical duties including inspecting, specifying and managing voids repair work. You will ensure that bpha properties meet the standards expected, and that repairs are long lasting and delivered on budget.  

What you will be doing:  

• Carry out a range of different inspections, ensuring that the repairs service delivered achieves good quality value for money repairs 
• You will be responsible for ensuring that you adhere to the relevant health and safety procedures and legislation in place 
• Supervise contractors work on site as necessary and report concerns regarding performance and conduct to the management team 
• Offer support advice and guidance to other members of property services, other business units and contractors on technical issues 
• To ensure a customer centric service is always delivered 

We’d love to meet someone with:    

• In depth knowledge and understanding of building construction, maintenance and legislation governing social housing providers 
• Knowledge of schedule of rates and experience in using them to select the most appropriate codes 
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation including experience with HHSRS 
• ONC/HNC/NVQ qualification or similar professional qualification (RICS/CIOB ) 
• Relevant professional trade qualification (L3 or higher) 
• Excellent customer focus to both internal and external customers 
• Full clean UK driving licence.
